Wake up Wake up Wake up!
It's 3:45am I'm up getting ready for a new day with clients. So excited, most days that is. It is amazing to see people really ready for change (less exciting to see people just assume that being in my prescence will help them lose weight....but that is a topic for another time - lol). Eight years ago I could not have imagined being in this place - but God. So a question for you - what are your dreams? What motivates you? Why do you get up every morning? Think on it and tell me about it. I would love to hear truly.
So, I've been waiting forever to write a post for this new blog. I'm like all excited, and for anybody that knows me, that means I've told you about it probably 800,000 times. Interestingly enough, though, as I sit here in Barnes and Nobles (one of my favorite places), completely relaxed (because i've actually had TWO WHOLE days of SLEEP (what's up!) lol I have no idea what to say, so I've just decided to type and maybe something useful will come of it (yikes now that's scary; oye).
Well, It's about time! I think at some point most of us have quoted this phrase, sometimes in reference to ourselves when we finally get up and do something or get something "right" other times in reference to someone or something else and their situation. We say this usually in exasperation because we have been dragging our feet or have been patiently or impatiently (dependant on your personality;lol) waiting on something to happen or change in our lives.
Well, folks It's about time, stop dragging your feet on your dreams, on the change that you are "waiting" for, don't just stand around and twittle your thumbs "waiting" - Work while you wait. What are you doing to prepare for the changes that are forthcoming? Not to say that working while you wait will make the change happen sooner, but for sure it will help you be better prepared once your goals come to fruition.
Well, It's about time! Change your mind - Change your life.....it's hard to do anything different, see anything different when you continue to do the same thing over and over again.....you have to begin making different choices. Once a pastor during sermon said, "just do something different even if its something as small as going home a different way." Change - though seemingly hard for us humans its not always the horrid thing we make it to be - uncomfortable yes - useful absolutely......
Well, It's about time! Get up and do it! Maybe you are the reason you haven't reached your goals - Oops yep I said it, I have found in many cases that I am my own worst enemy. Fear and lack of confidence in one area or another has beeen a deterent in my life many times. "God has not given us a spirit of fear - but of power - love - and a sound mind" so yeah, you can do it whatever it is. "You can - He Said So" (Phil 4:13), so throw out fear and gain your confidence in Christ then go get it!
It's about time - Stay tuned more changes coming, because "It's about time" in my life too.
See you soon
"You Can- He said so"
Tam. ;)
